This was done by VBS, which seems to be an online educational/entertainment “channel.” It’s like reality TV, but actual reality.

plastic movie

Does anyone else recognize that yellow spray paint cap?

Awsome post, again. I watched several of the videos with my 5 year old grandson and even he was disgusted and concerned with the garbage in the sea. He really understood it and will do his part on preventing it as much as he can. I got goose bumps seeing how much he was into the information on the videos. He was shocked that that was really happening. At one point he said that it was on a video so maybe it wasn’t really true. I convinced him otherwise. Today when we went to a kids lacrosse game he saw garbage, lids and straws, etc thrown on the ground and he mentioned the videos and said that is how the garbage gets into the ocean because of the wind, rivers all go to the ocean. Wow. That is just so smart. We did pick up that garbage and put it in the container that was indeed close by.
I will be watching that video again and again. Great share!

I’m glad you watched it. I thought the videos were entertaining, and informational. Your grandson is so smart, and he’s got such a big heart. I’m glad that video will stick with him. We all need to learn how bad plastic is.
Even the captain said that everyone on that boat was contributing to the plastic island. It’s so frustrating because there’s nothing we can do!
Check out some of the other videos on VBS. I liked the one about North Korea. I didn’t get through the whole thing, but it was really interesting.
